On April 11, 2019, our second annual gala will be held to raise funds for the design and construction development for our planned 67+ unit apartment building. Last years event was attended by over 300 people who donated over $200,000 in donations and service to the building project.

Stepping Stone Communities is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to encouraging independent living for adults with developmental disabilities and the workforce in our community.
Over 8,000 individuals with DD are currently living with caregivers who are over age 60. Where will they live when their caregivers are no longer able to care for them? An average disability award of $750 per month will not pay the rent in today’s market. So we need to build homes that these adults can afford and where they can build a safe community of their own.
